Now days, who don’t want to be healthy. But the hectic schedule of life is a big hurdle in achieving a healthy body and mind. People are having problems or disease like overweight, obesity, diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, heart diseases, kidney problems and so many other unknown problems, and a lot of these problems occur because of our lifestyle. So let’s make it little easier for the working people and especially for women who doesn’t have time to take care of themselves.

Do not eat processed foods

Always eat natural fruits and vegetables and just avoid processed foods. Next time you buy the food product do check the nutritional labels on them to know how healthy they actually are.
Nutritional labels give us a clear picture about how good those ‘natural’ or ‘low fat’ foods we get attracted to are.
Always take a look on the name of ingredients on the label of the product (high fructose corn syrup, aspartame, etc.)

 

Breakfast Is A Must

 

Never skip breakfast, our metabolic rate decreases leading to weight gain and digestion problems. Breakfast increases concentration, helps us focus better and controls weight. This is an important meal to eat every day. Focus on fueling your body with whole grains, proteins, and fruit.

 

Drink 8-10 glasses of water

 

Water is cleansing agent that helps body to clean extra fat consumed. Your body needs water to function properly. Don't drink your calories, drink water! If you don't like plain water, try adding flavors using fresh fruit and veggies like lemon, strawberries, cucumbers, mint, etc.

 

Avoid unhealthy food that is high in calories

 

Have control on your eating habits. Eat only when you are hungry and don’t over eat. Otherwise you will be facing the health issues like weight gain, heart diseases and cholesterol. Eat seasonal fruits rich in fibers, vitamins and proteins. Don’t ban those delicious desserts all together at once. But a little change at the beginning can ensure that you never reach the stage where you can’t have it anymore. Make it a rule of life eat healthy stay healthy. Try to make your meals as colorful as possible using a variety of grains, fruits, and vegetables. Eat seasonally. By doing so, you'll get the most nutrients from your food because it's at its freshest point. Omega-3 fatty acids reduce inflammation, combat depressionand improve mood and memory according to various studies. Keep focus on omega-3 fats from food rather than supplements. Good sources of omega-3 are salmon, tuna, walnuts, flax seeds, leafy greens and hemp seeds.

With change in your eating habits only cannot get you the good results in achieving a goal of healthy body. You have to exercise regularly to maintain your health. And if you are to lazy to do workout than you may practice yoga.

The word yoga brings to mind a bunch of physical exercises with a flavor of India. However, yoga can be much more than a regular exercise routine. Ayurveda

 

Ayurveda is a system that makes use of certain inherent principles of nature to ensure better health. 

The elements which are evident in the human body in the form of life-forces or doshas, classified as vata,pitta and kapha. The human body remains in good health as long as the three remain in balance. Disease of any kind is caused by an imbalance in the doshas and the treatment aims to correct the balance.

The science of yoga treatment is based on five basic principles meant to keep the balance that is so essential in Ayurveda. Those principles are proper relaxation, Proper exercise, Proper breathing, Suitable diet, Positive thinking.

 Both Ayurveda and yoga go hand in hand and emphasize that exercise, breathing and diet can affect the life-forces or dosha that impact overall health. Appropriate exercises or asana as they are called in yoga, suitable pranayama –breathing exercises, and a proper diet differs according to the dosha balance in a person to person.

 

 Get plenty of sleep

 

Get a minimum 8 hours sleep at night because it relaxes and refreshes your mind and keeps you healthy. The human body is same as machine and just like any machine it requires rest and recharging, our bodies also need adequate amounts of sleep. Take a nap when needed. Sometimes in a day all that you need is a quick nap and relax your body. This will give your body a great boost of energy.

 

Some changes in daily routine

 

Go outside and take a walk of 40-45 minutes in the morning and get some natural vitamin D. This will help you boost your energy and your immune system. Get an advice of health coach.  A healthy coach help you focus on your goals, but they'll hold you accountable too. Keep a food journal. Keep a journal of what you eat, by that you'll be able to see patterns of overeating, stress eating, etc. This is also a better way to hold you accountable when you make that choice to have a healthier diet!

 

Health is wealth” is the quote we are hearing from every second person. However, we donn’t follow it seriously in our lives and that’s why we are far from its literal meaning. It means that it does not matter how wealthy we are, if person is not healthy, there is nothing he can cherish in life.
